If you are: A hands-on solutions architect with a deep technical background and a passion for media, you are up for a game-changing career opportunity. As media consumers we’re witnessing an unbelievable explosion of media devices, channels and content. Generating and meeting this demand are media companies who have the challenge of capturing audience share by delivering the right media to the right audience at the right time - and making a profit from doing so. To deliver this, media companies are experiencing unparalleled levels of complexity in their media operations. Media value chains consisting of silos of legacy and new systems are managed through complex business rules with heavy reliance on human activity. This role will allow you to take these complex operations and innovate new more efficient and profitable solutions for diverse clients across traditional Broadcast, syndication, and production, as well as emerging video markets. If you are an upbeat self-starter, multi-tasker, and media workflow expert, you will be able to make a crucial contribution rethinking the media industry’s content supply chain by joining this team.
Solution Architecture Experience: You will have an understanding of how to assess high- and low-level client requirements and translate them into solutions
Client Relationship Experience: You are an excellent communicator with experience reviewing client business requirements and effectively explaining complicated technical solutions. You will be able to understand when requirements need to be met, and when clients will accept push-back in order to deliver solutions that strike an appropriate ROI balance.
Video Workflow Experience: You will have thorough and practical experience of video, workflow or production/delivery lifecycles in the media industry. Particular expertise in the broadcast or VOD/OTT sectors in a plus.
Programming Experience: You will have extensive experience coding/scripting, ideally in a Java-based language
System Implementation Knowledge: You will have the ability to research, design, and implement technical solutions to problems in media environments within project timelines.
Media Technology Knowledge: You will have a keen interest in the media space and an understanding of multimedia technologies. You will have a good knowledge of at least 2 of the following: video production, linear broadcast, OTT, VOD, workflow and media management, video transcoding, media streaming and content distribution on the internet.
